" Do not stand at my grave and weep...I am not there. I did not die.", read an obituary of a teenager yesterday. Today, Liz told me that one of my favourite patient Little W has passed away. I felt quite lost. Should I feel happy for her, or should I be sad? I guess an element of both.. Happier that she has put on a good and long fight, and she has left for somewhere better. Today is also the day that I saw 2 of my other patients that I saw them during their sickest moments, Little Z and Little N. How good they look now! Little Z has put on weight and Little N looks so happy and active. I'm so proud of them!

2 places I discovered recently. One is Greenwood Ave, with the popular Greenwood Fish Market, and the other is The Rail Mall. Went to Galbiati with Bin's family last night for supper. Ordered one piece of salmon pizza (not bad...), one bowl of mushroom (it's ok..), profiterole (it's ok...) and tiramisu (I'm not a big fan of tiramisu). A lot more tempting stuff there, but was very full so couldn't try them.

Went to watch 881 with my brother and Annabel today. Wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but enjoyed it anyway. Love the papaya girls' costumes! Then went to eat in New York New York in AMK Hub.

Nothing can really beat Grease but Hairspray is still as enjoyable, though towards the end, it's rather cliche (Black vs white, good vs evil and the good wins) and unrealistic. Ok, it's only a movie, but still... the songs are nice though, and the cast is strong, with John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer , Queen Latifah and newcomer Nikki Blonsky. Would highly recommend it!
Wanted to relive my time in Spain so brought my mother and brother to Bungalow Tapas Bar and Grill in United Square. Amazing how United Square has transformed into a children's haven. Love it! In Bungalow, the ambience is nice and service good. We decided to order a few tapas and a glass of Sangria to go with our food. The food is good. My mum loves the beef, i love the escargot and Foie Gras. The one glass of Sangria got me really red!

Starting to reminisce again.... Hehe. Birthdays for my girl buddies used to be just dinner in Suntec. Until when we were 21 years old (4 years ago!) when we started planning for our own birthday parties that we decided our birthdays shouldn't be so boring! Subsequently our birthdays became quite exciting events (at least we try to!), with various themes every year. Interestingly, I can' t find most of the photos for my own birthdays! Hehe...
21st birthday parties:
Mine - held in my house. Sorry can't find the photos!
Lynn's - a BBQ in Sentosa, stayed over at the chalet
Shuling's - held in Safra in Tanah Merah, also a chalet.
we made a scrapbook for ling
crazy us dancing away
we started using the bdae present we got for Ling - the hair curler
Joanne's - in Amara Resort. theme was pink
Nic blindfolding Joanne
Joan's - Pine Tree Club. Theme was strips and polka dots
Me and Ling cross-stitched for Joan
we attempted to sew our own "strips and polka dots" clothes
Cai's - also a chalet in Sentosa
Wanting's - we had to force her for this. she treated us to Mariott's dinner buffet
22nd birthday parties - theme was surprise party, where each of us was allocated to plan for someone's party. (the date, the venue and programme were supposed to be a surprise.) this year was quite exciting. of course how exciting the surprise party turned out depended a lot on who's the planner. I'm proud to say that I planned Joan's and Ling's one - the 2 most enjoyable ones. Mine, being the first to celebrate her birthday, was not so exciting. I even had people smsing me earlier on my "surprise party" day that they would be late.
Lynn's - not very exciting. We had dinner in this restaurant in Esplanade with no other customers.
Shuling's - the surprise venue was in Kok Pin's house, theme is Fairy Tale. Each of us was supposed to dress up as a Disney princess. Me as Belle, Joan as Mulan, Cai as Jasmine, Lynn as snow white, Joanne as Little Red Riding Hood, Wan as Fairy Godmother. Ling was supposed to be Cinderella. Before she came to the party, we got Joanne and Joan to dress her up, and to bring her there. It was really fun. We even staged a play for Ling.
Our play.
Joanne's - Chocolate buffet in Mariott's
Joan's - we had this mini amazing race in the zoo, where we put various people at different stations. We got some of Joan's other buddies to join us. She was so shocked to see her JC and secondary school friends. Did she cry? I remember she did. Haha.. then we booked a room for her and Julius, and decorated for them.
Cai's - also not very exciting. surprised her in Sentosa while she was with her other friends. haha getting lazier
Wanting's - had a Holloween theme. Guess who I was dressed up as? Haha.. Queen Amidala!
23rd birthday parties - We had a dress theme this year.
Mine - Theme was retro. I can't find my photos!
Lynn's - School Uniform. We were dressed in our old school uniform. haha interestingly, none of us was dressed in our RGS uniform.
Shuling's - Theme was Glam. We ate in Hard Rock's.
Wan's - in Kuishinbo
The next 2 years are not as exciting anymore. Haha.. getting older and lazier...
This year's theme - choose your own restaurant!
Mine - Tapas Tree in Clark Quay (no photos again!)
Lynn's - we went to Brussel's Sprout
Cai's - In eclectic attic in Plaza Sing. Interesting place. You could even buy the table and couch you're sitting on.
