Barcelos in Vivocity sells Portugese-styled chicken with different degree of spiciness - tangy lemon, mild peri, veri peri and supa peri. We decided on the mild and veri-peri under the recommendation of the waitress. In the end, we decided the mild one was much nicer.

One day we decided to go eat turtle soup and Bin's father recommended this restaurant in MacPherson so there we went. Turtle soup is actually very tasty even though it's quite sad thinking that I'm eating what I saw in Maldives just weeks ago. But preferred the soup more than the meat.

A new favourite coffee place (after Jones the Grocer) that I found recently - Oriole, located ulu-ly just below Pan Pacific serviced suites in Somerset. Been there twice already within 2 weeks. Recently the cafe had much publicity due to the co-owners' achievements - John Ting and Keith Loh winning the championship and first runner-up respectively in Singapore National Barista Championships 2009.

A new cafe just below the luxurious Sail condominium sells Hokkaido-styled sandwiches which is quite a fresh idea, especially when they have Hokkaido King crab as one of the fillings. We got a choice between the Japanese white bread vs the ciabatta bread. We decided on the Japanese bread since it's a Jap cafe. I chose to have the King Crab (Tarabagani) while Bin had the prawn (Ebi Katsu). Didn't really like my King crab one, as the crab portion is small and too much mayo. Preferred Bin's one. Also didn't like my Lavazza cappucino.
