This is Kok Pin - who always refuses to pose nicely for me. Hehe... He will kill me if he sees this photo being posted online! On saturday night, we went to Bottle Tree Village with his family for dinner. Can't believe that it's my second trip there in less than 2 weeks! Bottle Tree Village is the brainchild of Mr Alex Neo, who was so fascinated by these trees that he saw in Australia that he decided to ship them here.
The Bottle Tree
The place was really ulu, and we had to drive through this really dark and creepy road before we reached there. It's impossible to go there without a car! We chose a 8 course meal for 6 pax which costs $198+, and added a few more dishes. The course meal consists of strawberry sauteed prawns (yummy!), chilli crab, man tou, sambal grouper, shark's fin, roasted duck, vegetables and honey dew sago. The food is quite yummy. A pity I couldn't get a place near the sea despite me making reservations rather early. The restaurant oversees the Straits of Johor, and my phone is even on Malaysia's network!
