My cousin Powzhen has just given birth to a baby boy. Congratulations!
Last Saturday evening, Bin and I went to try 18 Chefs, as recommended by 8 days. The restaurant is interesting because the owner is an ex-convict who earned a month-long apprenticeship at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen. He said that 18 is the name of an underworld society, and he hopes to have 18 chefs. And he hopes to train ex-convicts to cook (that's a very nice thought). The food was alright, nothing spectacular, but it's cheap. I ate the minced beef cheese baked rice, and Bin ate the mushroom cream spaghetti. We also added Calamari, and a set which consists of soup and soft drink. The soup was rather bland. At least the cheese baked rice and calamari were tasty.

Yesterday, my mum, Rick, Bin and I decided to try the famous Angus House in Takashimaya. You get to choose just the ala carte dinner or the course dinner which includes soup, salad, Hors d’œuvre (It means appetizer in french) and desert (for about 10 bucks more). Only greedy me chose the set. Haha... Personally I didn't really enjoy my steak as the sauce was too salty, and not many side dishes - mainly 2 pieces of carrot, potatoes and some veg. The Hors d’œuvre consists of tempura prawn and battered scallop. The mushroom soup was tasty, and the tiramisu was not bad (though I'm not a fan of tiramisu).
