Yesterday, this 11 months old baby came to CE for urticaria. He was initially sleeping. The moment he woke up, he started grinning and laughing at me non-stop. Grandma was saying, why you keep smiling at this doctor? Haha... such an adorable baby! Why I chose Paeds? It's just so natural! I can't imagine myself doing anything else!
Bin is going army this Thursday! Sob...

How I love post-nights! Just a few hours of sleep and then I have the whole day off! Very sad that my 8am post-nights are coming to an end... Today went out with 3 ladies - my mum, my ah Kor and my grandaunty Ah Cheng Yi. First a trip to the cemetery as Soul's Day is coming. Then to IMM for a drink and to shop around.
Donuts in IMM - Bought the chocolate one with Coco Pop, my fav cereals. Not too bad.
Went to Cafe Cartel for a drink. Ah Cheng Yi and Ah Kor.
Me and my Mama!
My ice mocha float
Ah Cheng Yi's mango juice.
My mother ordered White Xmas and my Ah kor waffle with banana and peach. My camera went out of batt then so no pix!

Yesterday, my mother suggested having dinner in Uncle Leong's - The coffeshop in AMK Blk 233, opposite the famous long-queue crab-selling coffeeshop in Blk 232. My mum said that Uncle Leong is just as good as the one in Blk 232.
Crab Bee Hoon $30 plus (1kg crab)
Pork Ribs with beer
Fried Tofu Fishcake
Stir-fry KaiLan
Overall, it's ok lah though the crab bee hoon is so pricely. The total is $60 plus for the 3 of us!
On friday, Bin and I decided to give Mimolette a try as recommended by Simin. Wanted to try Garibaldi initially but it was fully booked! Mimolette is so ulu! We had to drive along this really narrow and dark road which went under train tracks - Bin said it looked like one of those roads in Incredible tales. The moment we came down we could smell the stench from the nearby stable. Haha.. during my conversation with the waitress when I called to make reservations, I asked her if I could smell the horses' stench if I sit outside. She told me that the horses are sleeping so there would be no smell... Hmmm... i guess when you sleep your body odour will disappear too. The dinner didn't start that well. They didn't record my reservation. Luckily there was a table for us indoors though it was right in front, a rather uncomfortable place to sit. The next sad thing is that we realised that the Mimolette Vongole is only served during lunch and brunch! In the end, I chose French Onion Soup $13 and Spaghetti Bolognese $16. Bin chose tenderloin $28. The Onion Soup is too sweet and the spaghetti is rather bland. Bin's tenderloin is too well-done though he wanted it medium-well. But I agree that it is a pretty place, especially for weddings! You can ride on a horse carriage to the entrance.
Our complimentary bread - looked like Snoopy?

Not a very satisfying dinner, hence we went to Thomson Plaza hoping to find something else to eat.

"Bodyguard" - Bought this drink as recommended by the stall-lady. It contains various berries and protein. I asked her what protein is. She said it's some powder which gives you energy. Haha.. and Bin kept saying protein doesn't give you energy, carbohydrates does. Does protein give you energy? I guess energy is such a broad term. Building up muscles can be a form of energy. After taking one sip, the lady asked if I liked it. I said... Ermm.. not bad... Seeing my forced expression, she re-emphasied that the drink gives me energy. Haha... such a cute lady!

Neoprints used to be the hype during my secondary school days. Then, we could be taking neoprints almost every week, or is it every other day? Haha... Just last year, I made the girls take neoprint with me. Although they were initially hesitant and kept saying, don't want lah! So childish! Haha... in the end we were having so much fun that we were fighting over the photos. Go try it again even though your head says it's childish!

The next agenda after CE lunch was to Sentosa. Haha... making full use of my off day! By the time we reached there, it was already 4 plus. Wow... Sentosa has changed quite a little. The Siloso beach is different from the past. We settled down under a big shelter. Brandon and Mirah started their sand-playing while me, Terence and Lina started playing volleyball.
After a while, we decided to try out the Luge and skyride. For a package of 4, which included one Luge and one skyride, it costs $26. Only Terence, Lina and Mirah dared to take the ride. As Mirah rode with me, she was not considered as one ride so we had one extra Luge + sky train. Mirah and I took the extra ride with Terence getting another 1 Luge + Skyride which costs $9 so he could join us.
We took the skyride up first. It was about 10 mins ride and it was high! Terence was so scared he asked us not to ask him to look at things.
Poor Brandon was crying when he couldn't take the skyride. Only children above 90cm.
Then we took the Luge which is a go-kart. Rather simple to maneuver, but with Mirah riding with me, I didn't dare to go so fast. It was really fun! Great for a race. On our second ride, Terence and I had a little competition. Haha.. Terence won in the end.
Then, it was back to sand and water playing.
There were 2 highlights in today's Sentosa trip. First was the Luge and skyride. Second was the jumping photos. How I love jumping photos! Shall blog on jumping photos one day.
Jumping Mirah
Jumping Lina
The jumping 4. Look at how straight Anna jumped!
As it got darker, we walked towards Merlion. Saw from afar the songs of the sea. While walking, Cai called me from Japan. Haha.. she's ok but a little lonely. One thing lacking in Sentosa is food! We then headed to Vivocity for dinner before going home.
