little miss sunshine

Haven't had the chance to blog the 2 days that Bin was off and I was kinda off (post-night followed by off). After my night shift and CME last wednesday, we went to Michelangelo for lunch. We chose the lunch set which costs $25++. DBS Black card is having a 1-for-1 promotion for lunch, so it was very worth it! We sat inside which is very dark and a little cramped.

The lunch set is nice and filling. I love my lamb steak and potato salad. Next we headed for the Singapore botanical gardens. I wanted to explore places that we seldom go. As I always tell Bin, we should explore Singapore before we explore the world. The only vague memory I have of Botanical Gardens was that I was there with my mum to complete my Young Botanist Card. Wow.. that's like in Primary 4 lor.

Though the botanical gardens can't beat Alishan, but it's definitely a good respite from city life. Good for morning walk or a jog.

Night time, I decided to try out Axis Bar in The Oriental Hotel. It was a good choice. Nice place to relax and chill out. The full-length glass window allows us to see the esplanade and around. The waitress also asked for our names so it would be more personalised. I ordered strawberry smoothie and Bin some fruit tea. I love mine. They also gave us chips to go along with our drinks. The moment I bite the chips, I could feel smoke coming out of my ears. It's wasabi chips! Yuck! I hate wasabi. And I pushed the whole bowl to Bin.
