Yeah! Back to good old Singapore. And back to work... Hehe. Taiwan was overall not very fun but it's still great memories. Initially we were deciding on free-and-easy or tour group. Eventually we decided on tour group as we had no time to plan. Bad thing is that though we visited famous places like Taroko gorge, sun moon lake, alishan, etc but we spent the whole day travelling just to see the place for about 1 hour. Another bad thing is that we can't sample all the famous food and we didn't go to the hot spring. Good thing is that I learnt a lot of interesting stories from the tour guide and got to know some cute uncles and aunties from the group.
The 5 of us
Yehliu - The Queen's head. This area is the northern coast line with strange looking rocks formed from the constant erosion. One looked like pig, the other elephant trunk, the other a shoe, etc. This one looked like the Queen's head. We were facing the Pacific Ocean.
Jiufen - a city at higher grounds made famous by the old Taiwanese movie "City of Sadness". I've never heard of it before. Haha... It's a little too squeezy and crowded for my liking.
Taroko Gorge - Love the mountain and the falls. Wish Spore has such stuff. But then, with such nature comes earthquake. Maybe not then...
San Sian Tai - Terrace of the Three Immortals
FoKuangshan "Light of Buddha" Mountain. 120 metre golden Buddha surrounded by 480 standing buddha statues.
Alishan - my favourite of the lot. Love the cool air and the tall trees. Great for morning walks. Wish the back of my HDB flat is like that...
Sun moon lake - peaceful place but nothing spectacular.

FOOD! - Food is cheap in Taiwan, but not shopping.
