Yesterday was my post-night. Brought Brandon to Bishan Park after I came home for a walk.
The swing
In the evening, Bin and I met Kelvin for dinner. Went to try Le Petite Cuisine in Serene Centre, as recommended by Simin. It sells cheap french food. Overall, I guess we didn't order the best dishes. Only liked my foie gras. Wasn't that impressed with the steak and the mushroom soup (too diluted). Bin's ravioli was not bad, but portion too small. Kelvin's chicken fillet wasn't very fantastic either. Regretted that I didn't order the confit de canard, which was one of the 100 best dishes featured in Strait times last week!
A small cosy shop at the corner. Spot Kelvin and Bin!
Diluted mushroom soup, $3 ($2.50 if added to main course)
Foie gras $15
Bin's ravioli $12
My sirloin steak with gratin $10
Kelvin's chicken fillet
Kelvin treated us to dinner. Thanks pal!
Then we went to Laurent cafe and chocolate bar in Robertson Quay for desert. It used to be called chocolate factory. They have the no pictures policy there so I wasn't able to get any photos. They had a wide variety of hot chocolate to choose from and conservative us chose hot chocolate in the purest form. Ok... not a big fan of hot chocolate, especially in the purest form! Also ordered the chocolate souffle which costs $15. I must say that this souffle is not bad!
