It's been a while since my last entry. Been really busy. Many things to update. Let's start from last friday. Bin and I went to Garibaldi (at last!).
Complimentary bread
Our free antipasti - HSBC promotion (1 free anti-pasta with every main course) - not bad!
Beef tenderloin with truffle potato $48 - not bad!
Lobster capellini $38 - didn't like it!
Overall the dining experience was ok. The place was heavily occupied by Caucasians. The food was ok only.
On Saturday, we ate in Ang Mo Kio S11 for lunch before catching the movie Enchanted. Bin loves the chicken cutlet from the western stall.
Chicken cutlet $5.50
My black chicken soup and rice $4.80
Then went to catch Enchanted. Simple fairy tale story, happy ending. It's amusing how naive and innocent the prince is. Love how the princess made her dresses from the curtains! After movie, went to Orchard for dinner. Decided to explore Takashimaya's food basement. Realised that there was much food there! Decided on Fisherios - a branch from Phin's Steakhouse. Overall the fish and chips weren't that nice.
Beer battered fish and chips $8.90
Traditional fish and chips $7.90
In the early morning 12MN of Sunday, my brother is back after 40 days in the desert of Australia - for his army training!
On Sunday, Bin's family and I went to Tung Lok seafood restaurant for Dim Sum buffet, $16.90 per adult. It's located in Jurong just opposite SAFTI. Wide variety but not that nice.
Today , me, my mum and my bro decided to go to Cafe Biz in Trader's hotel for dinner. Woman's weekly has one-for-one promotion, and Cafe Biz is included.
Unlimited Salmon - heaven!
Lobster and oyster!
Desserts - not very nice
My self-created waffle!
Coffee at the end
The 3 of us!
It's been a long time since I went for hotel buffets. Cafe Biz isn't that nice. But still an exciting experience, exploring what they have.

Last Saturday, me and Bin went to Suntec for dinner after he booked out. We settled for Sakae Sushi. Tried one of my fav Jap dish - Sukiyaki. The one in Sakae wasn't that nice. My fav is the one in Sun with Moon.
Sukiyaki $13.90 Rice $1
Salmon Sashimi $4.99 (price has been reduced from previous $6.50 and it has reduced to 4 pieces only)
Then we hopped over to esplanade for dessert. Decided to give The Cookie Museum a try since it has been there for quite a while and it looked so pretty from the outside. The ambience is nice and very "English-style". Great for gathering or just to stone. We ordered Polynesian Paradise - a fruit tea containing strawberry, etc (can't remember what else). Then we also ordered Choc Cheese cake melt recommended by the waitress. Apparently, cake melt is one of their unique specialty and they have 4 different types. The waitresses were very helpful in helping us make our choices from their extensive variety of teas.
Pretty chair and pretty background
The cake melt and the fruit tea
The Choc cheese cake melt is like warm chocolate cake with choc sponge cake and surrounding warm choc sauce and chunks of cheese. Not bad!
They would push this trolley containing our stuff to our table. Despite many things on the trolley, we were only given 1 small piece of cookie to go along with our tea. Haha.. I'm just being greedy.
After that, the waitress allowed us to sample some of their cookies FOC. You can't leave a Cookie Museum without trying the cookies right? Haha...

Cai is back from Japan after her 6 weeks of training in Tokyo. I met Joan and Ling for dinner in my secret garden first. My secret garden is famed for the triple choc featured as one of the best 100 dishes in Singapore. It's located in Sculpture Square. It's called Singapore's best kept secret as it is hidden within the building and you wouldn't have noticed it if you merely walk past.
Ling's pumpkin soup $8
My cod fish $30 - mine is not that bad except the teriyaki sauce is rather salty and the portion too small.
Joan's oxtail $22
Ling's pesto pasta $22
Triple Choc $7 (plus $5 for ice cream) - not bad!
Bread and butter pudding $8 - not nice!
Then we hopped over to Bugis to look for Cai. We had supper in Terra.
Joan and Cai
My mushroom soup and garlic bread $5.90 - nice and frothy
Cai showing us her flying schedule

15th Nov is my dear mummy's birthday. Few days prior to that, we had a mini celebration in my house. Ah Kor prepared a feast and bought the cake. Thanks ah kor!
Look like popeye.. Haha
Yesterday, during my post-call, went to watch Chitty chitty bang bang with my mum. What an entertaining musical! Love the props and the car! It's amazing how it flies! I remembered singing "Truly sumptous" in primary school. Haha..
Went for supper in One Fullerton's Starbucks. Wanted to bring my mum to Postbar in Fullerton Hotel but it's too pub-like and noisy. Preferred the Axis Bar in The oriental.
