Another weekend has passed...let me add... another exciting weekend has passed.
Saturday, after night shift in CE and morning rounds, Bin and I went to Ramen Santouka in The Central for lunch. This ramen shop has been much hyped-about since its recent opening. The 8 days also says that it has 20 shops in Japan and 5 in US.

The Toroniku Ramen $18 (the meat comes from the pig's cheek and because this is only a small part of the pig, only 60 bowls of this ramen are sold a day). The meat is really tender!

Char Siu Miso Ramen $15. Their Char Siu is really different from our Chinese Char Siu. Tasty!
For each ramen, we got to choose what kind of soup we want. Saltish, soy sauce, miso or spicy miso. Both Bin and I chose miso, which is already rather saltish.

For dinner, Bin's family and I went to Thai express for dinner.

Phat Thai Talay $9.90 (nice!)

Seafood Fried Rice $8.90 (saltish!)

Seafood Laksa $9.90 (spicy!)

Pineapple Rice $8.90
For a drink...

Strawberry and cream - ok only

Coffee of the day
Today, Bin and I went to the Singapore Airshow 2008, reputed to be the largest airshow in Asia and one of the top 3 in the world. The admission fee is $20 for adults.

We had to endure 1 1/2 hours to get onto the shuttle bus

The exhibition hall and the open area to catch the acrobatic display
We reached there just in time to catch the flying display. First to kickstart the show is the RSAF Black Knights in their F-16.

A380 (Our airbus!)

RAAF Rouelettes

The team aerobatics (Singapore's Black Knights and Australia's Rouelettes) are really good! So cool! When the airbus showed up, there was much pride. Hehe.. The highlight of the airshow is the flying display. But the downside is the time spent to queue for the shuttlebus. Think we took 3-4 hours in total to-and-fro to queue for the bus.
For dinner, I ate Penang Laksa from AMK S11's Penang Delights near Jubilee. Not bad!

Evening, Mummy, Rick, Bin and I went to catch Dim Sum Dollies in The History of Singapore. Funny with a local flavour, though some parts we don't really get it. Hehe

Didn't realise till now that the esplanade's wall as a background is quite nice
