For the past 2 days, I went to 2 places where I've never been to before.
Yesterday, I went to Changi Village. It was such a vibrant place both at night and in the day. And the Changi village food centre is full of award-winning food stalls. Hehe...

The famous International Nasi Lemak stall which consistently has a long queue, and holds many awards. We bought the standard Chicken Set and added an otah each. It costs $3.50. The chicken is yummy, but the otah is ok only. Was expecting more from the otah since it won the best otah stall in 2004.

Ice Milo Dinosaur $2 - not very nice

Changi Village carrot cake $2

Wing Kee Ipoh Hor Fun.Wanton Mee's Dumpling Noodle - which apparently also holds many awards. $2

Changi's Chee Kueh

Today, we went to Haji Lane. I have always wanted to come here because magazines have been promoting this place. It is a really narrow lane with shops that are definitely different from other parts of Singapore. In fact, I felt like I'm out of the country. Haha.. this lane felt like it's a world of its own. It gives me a really bohemian feeling.

Decided to try Altazzaq - Egyptian Restaurant which is in the middle of Haji Lane.

The smoking pipes of Sheesha (or hookah) - scented tobacco inhaled via water pipe

We ordered Al-tazzaq Super Special which includes chicken, lamb chop, lamb, beef and fish with wedges and rice. $22. Very Yummy!

Pita bread $1 each
Then we walked to Bugis Junction and decided to explore the basement which has many new small food stalls.

Beard Papa Sweets' Mochi - I bought the strawberry one. Very yummy!

Chewy Junior - another new "doughnut-like" stall, except that it sells cream puff with different toppings. I bought 6 for $6.50. 1 would cost $1.20. Was quite disappointed.Al-tazzaq Egyptian Restaurant is located in:
