Had dinner in Buono with the girls today to celebrate Ling's and Joanne's belated birthdays. It's a really Ulu Italian restaurant in Serangoon Gardens, but rather cosy with Chef Salvatore making effort to talk to his diners and even to the extent of seeing us cut through the chocolate lava cake greedily only to see him take it away angrily to say he's not satisfied with it. Yup, it was really not oozing out chocolate as it should be. And he gave us a new and much better version! The food is delicious but the downside is that it took about 1 hour before we got our food. Chef Salvatore said it was because they made it on the spot fresh.
