Yesterday, Bin and I had a mini excursion in Singapore to.... where else but... gardens! We started with the Xiao Guilin. It was originally a disused granite quarry. This is my first time facing the Little Guilin from such close proximity. In the past, I could only grab a glimpse of it when I was in the MRT train. Was a little disappointed when I was there. That's all? Haha... what was I expecting?
Then we hopped over to Chinese and Japanese Gardens... Japanese garden was a little disappointing. There was nothing interesting in it, and we just quickly walked through it to get to Chinese Garden.
The best thing in Japanese Garden - The Huge Komodo Dragon in the wild!
Over at Chinese Gardens, it was more interesting but I felt there wasn't much life in these 2 gardens. Maybe because it was deserted... Please inject some life into these 2 gardens!
The 'Pai Hung Ch'iao' Bridge (the white rainbow, 13-Arch Bridge) at the Garden follows the style of the 17-Arch Bridge at the Summer Palace in Peking.
The Zodiac Garden
The 'Ru Yun Ta' (7-storey pagoda). Its typical pagoda design follows the style of Ling Ku Temple Pagoda at Nanking.
