Have I mentioned before that I love parks? Haha... which explains why I went to the Henderson waves 3 times in the past 1 week! Henderson waves is Singapore tallest pedestrian overhead bridge which links Telok Blangah Hill Park to Mount Faber. It stands at 36 metres above Henderson Road. It is part of the Southern Ridges which is a 9km chain of parks, from Mount Faber, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Kent Ridge Park to West Coast Park. Looking at the bridge from below gives me a feeling of awe. Now I look at the other overhead bridges in a different light. Singapore needs more of such beautiful architecture!

After crossing the bridge, we walked up Mount Faber to the Jewel Box, rested, then U-turned back to Telok Blangah Hill Park.

In Telok Blangah Hill Park, there's a very interesting exercise corner.

Bicep and Tricep training
Then we drove over to Kent Ridge Park for the canopy walk. This was my first time to Kent Ridge Park and I was pleasantly surprised that it was so peaceful and scenic. It faces the sea and the port, and it houses much history about the Japanese War.

Walking to the canopy walk
Canopy walk links the park to Reflections at Bukit Chandu - "once known as Opium Hill and site of one of the last battles of Singapore in World War II". It is elevated at 16m, and passes through secondary forest with groves of Tembusu and dominant trees of the adinandra belukar.
We caught sight of a woodpecker!
