Mooncake festival has passed and this year my family had fun eating mooncakes, going to Chinese Garden to see the lantern festival and also taking lanterns in Bishan Park. The mooncakes we bought this year...Durian mooncake from Goodwood Hotel - I'm anti-durian so my mum ate all of them!Snowskin with dark chocolate crunchy pearlTraditional baked mooncake with single yokeAnd this year, we decided to go to the Chinese Garden Lantern Festival 2008 - F8 - Hello Kitty Go Races! It is the "BIGGEST CHARACTER LANTERN SHOW EVER IN THE WORLD, with close to 300 character lanterns handcrafted by 106 lantern craftsmen", said SingaporeSights. We went on a peak day, hence entrance fee is $15 for adults and $10 for kids 3-12 years old. This is so innovative! The kids enter a big ball filled with oxygen and they were then pushed into the water. So fun! But I think I would have burst the ball!In Bishan Park...

With Singapore making history, me loving Singapore so much, of course I must be there! What am I talking about? Of course it's the much-anticipated Singapore Grand Prix - the first night race in the history of Grand Prix. We bought the walk-about tickets $38, only for Friday as I wanted to watch the qualifying and final race on the TV. The track spans 5,067km and it runs through so many beautiful places in Singapore. What a scenic drive, not that they would actually stop to admire! We began our walk from Turn 13, at the Fullerton Hotel. We could already hear the cars from Raffles Place MRT Station. What an adrenaline rush to hear the cars! The grand stand at the BayThe Raffles Grand StandThere's even a tent devoted for prayers!Break-time between session 1 and 2Hawker Village at the padang - with stalls selling food at exorbitant prices.
